Service/Vocation: The ability to be motivated to use personally unique gifts and skills to contribute to society through one's profession, ministry, or calling. (SSM goal value)
Communal Discernment: The capacity or skill to enable a group or organization to come to consensus decision relative to long-term planning through openness, reflection, and honest interaction. (SSM means to service/vocation)
Presence/Dwelling: The ability to be with another person that comes from inner self-knowledge that is so contagious that another person is able to ponder the depths of who he or she is with awareness and clarity. (SSM goal value)
Sharing/Listening/Trust: The capacity to hear another's thoughts and feelings actively and accurately and to express personal thoughts and feelings in a climate of mutual confidence in one another's integrity. (SSM means to presence/dwelling)
Integration/Wholeness: The inner capacity to organize the personality (mind, body, and soul) into a coordinated, harmonious totality. (SSM goal value)
Detachment/Solitude: The regular discipline of non-attachment that leads to quality relationships with others and with the universal order. (SSM means to Integration/Wholeness)
Contemplation: Self-discipline and the art of meditation that prepares one for intimacy with others and unity with the universal order of God.  (SSM goal value that informs the SSM value of Service/Vocation -- the SSM charism of contemplation and action)

Reflection and Explanation
 SSM FAITH CENTER
The SSM Faith Center is a value system which reflects a Gospel lifestyle and the specific charism or spirit of the Call which our Congregation is trying to live. It comprises the foundational values of our past, the priority values that energize us to action today, and the vision values that stimulate our growth as a faith community. This Faith Center contains a balance of values which allows all of our Sisters in different countries and cultures to function as a global community.
The Faith Center binds us together in a common vision, and motivates us to choose to live certain value priorities in our Congregation especially in the vision, spirituality, and charism of our Congregation and in our choices, structures, and ways of behavior.
God is the center of this value system, the One to whom we relate, in whom we trust, and with whom we have a covenant relationship. The values expressed in the SSM Faith Center are those values that give meaning to this covenant relationship we have with the Creator.
Further, the SSM Faith Center is consistent with and a continuation of Mother Frances' vision of integrating the contemplative prayer life with that of a life of apostolic service.
