My Story

Sister Maria Vinton:

I remember when my dad dropped us kids off at school early in the morning. It was so early that the nuns were not even back from their morning prayers. As the sisters came up to the convent on second floor, one would throw her keys down the length of the hallway for me to grab so I could open the classroom door. The keys slid easily down the shiny waxed floor.

Sister Charleen Weiler:

I met the Sister  of the Sorrowful Mother at Mother of Perpetual Help School (MPH) in Milwaukee where I attended grade school. I was drawn into prayer through them, especially during the four years I sang in the children’s choir.

Sister Teresina Marra:

God was speaking very strongly in my head. Every evening my mother told stories of different people in the world who did not know Jesus, particularly the Jewish people. This was really the beginning of my vocation.
