Prayer to Mary, the Sorrowful Mother
O Mary, Mother of Sorrows, you stood under the cross of Jesus and shared in his pain and suffering. You are my model of faith, contemplation and compassion. Your life and your compassionate presence is a precious gift to our broken world.
Mary, Mother of Jesus, pray for the youth of our time so that they may be enlightened by the Holy Spirit to become a willing and generous servant for the Church. If their call is to the ordained ministry or consecrated life, may they have the courage to make a commitment to Jesus to love and to serve as a priest, brother or sister.
May families provide and support a favorable atmosphere to help their children make right choices. I ask this in Jesus, your Son, Our Lord. Amen
